Getting Started

To get started with AE Sheets, ensure you have the extension installed in After Effects 2024 or later.

Installation​

  1. Download the extension from aescripts + aeplugins.
  2. Install using the ZXP Installer.
  3. Open After Effects.
  4. Navigate to Window > Extensions > AE Sheets.

First Steps​

We recommend the following workflow for your first project:

  1. Rig Your Composition: Use the Rigging Panel to ensure your text layers handle different lengths gracefully.
  2. Index Text Layers: Go to the Layers Panel and add the text layers you want to translate.
  3. Create a Version: Add a new language column in the Layers Panel.
  4. Run: Click Run to generate your localized composition.
